Dear AP students:

Don't forget to also finish/revise the practice timed response essay you did for the substitute (on Frankenstein). Some of you finished it in class and merely need to revise/type it. Some of you only write two paragraphs and need to write more...then revise and type it.

Dear AP students:

I hope you are all enjoying your vacation!

I just want to remind you of the assignments you should be working on during this week:

--First, you should be revising your "Secret Observations of a Goat Girl" essay.

--Second, you should be putting your vocabulary words into a notebook. Come up with a system of recording the words that will make memorization/learning easier.

--Third, you should be analyzing and then writing an essay on the passage I attached to your homework assignment. You will practicing for question # 2 on the AP exam.

--Finally, for extra credit, you should be reading a book of literary merit, and completing a double entry notebook of 15-20 entries.

Let me know if you have any questions on the above assignment.

The summative assessment for Frankenstein will be on Friday. Don't be absent.

You will be required to revise your "Secret Observations on a Goat Girl" Essay during the Thanksgiving break. I returned them to you today.

I will give back your pratice essays (completed while sub teacher was here) on Friday. I will ask you to complete them during Thanksgiving break

1. Make sure you finish reading Frankenstein

2. Change of plans for tomorrow (Tuesday)....I have to attend a meeting at the district, so I will have you prepare for the summative essay on Wednesday by writing an in-class essay (an AP free-response #3 type essay) tomorrow (Tuesday). Sorry, I had meant to have a discussion of various themes, but we can do that on Wednesday before the summative essay.
